IMPORTANT If you are using a paper weight of 106 g/m2 or more, set the media type to Thick and set the weight of the paper you are using. Media types and amounts that can be loaded in the 550-sheet multipurpose tray are as follows. • Plain paper: 550 sheets (Paper thickness 0.1 mm conversion) • Banner paper (when the banner tray (option) is installed): 1 sheet (length 701 to 1,220 mm), 500 sheets (length 470.1 to 700 mm) • Thick paper, Index tab divider: A number of sheets that does not exceed the limit mark. NOTE • When you load custom size paper, enter the paper size by referring to the following: Paper Feeding (page 15-12) • When you use special paper such as transparencies or thick paper, select the media type by referring to the following: MP Tray Settings (page 15-16) • Paper size can be automatically detected and selected, refer to the following: Paper Selection (page 13-4) MP Tray Settings (page 15-16) 1 Adjust the multipurpose tray size by pressing the release lever, and load paper. 7-44
