Paper Handling > Precautions on Paper Precautions on Paper Precautions when Loading Paper Before loading paper that you have taken out of its packaging, follow the steps below to fan the paper and align the edges. CAUTION • To prevent paper jams and paper misfeeds, remove several sheets from the top and bottom of the unwrapped stack paper. • Printing on paper with unaligned edges may cause a paper jam that damages the print head. If an error code (Cxxx, xxx are numerics) appears on the operation panel, contact your service technician. 1 Deflect the paper bundle up and down. 2 Shift the end face of the paper bundle. 7-8
