Installing and Setting up the Machine > Power On/Off When the main power switch is on but the power switch is off 1 Press the power switch. The machine starts and the device information screen appears on the operation panel. Power Off CAUTION • Turn off the power switch and the main power switch in that order. • Do not turn off the main power switch within one minute after printing finishes. Do not turn off the main power switch before the machine has completed operation after the power switch has been turned off. Ink will dry in the nozzles of the print head and will not discharge normally the next time the power is turned on. • After the main power switch has been turned off, the machine may not be ready to print immediately when the main power switch is turned on, depending on the operating environment. • If the machine will be left unused for a long period of time (such as overnight), turn off the power switch. If the machine will not be used for an extended period of time (such as a vacation of several days), always remove the power plug from the outlet as a safety precaution. • When the power plug is unplugged, the heater inside the machine turns off, and it will take time until the machine is ready to print the next time the main power switch is turned on. 1 Press the power switch. The shutdown confirmation screen is displayed. Show Power Off Message (page 15-9) It may take about 3 minutes for the power to turn off. When the power turns off correctly, the screen display on the operation panel disappears. 3-6

When the main power switch is on but the power switch is off

Press the power switch.

The machine starts and the device information screen appears on the operation panel.

Power Off
