For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov. Storing ink containers CAUTION Store ink containers in an environment of 82.4 to 86 °F (28 to 30 °C). Store the machine while avoiding exposure to direct sunlight. The outer case of ink containers is made of paper, and if deformed due to the storage environment, may become unusable. Store ink containers horizontally in their packaging box, in accordance with the indicated top and bottom of the box. Keep ink containers out of the reach of children. Store in a location where dust, particles, and other foreign material will not collect on the ink supply holes. The guaranteed storage period for ink containers is 2 years at 104 °F (40 °C) or less. Replacing ink containers CAUTION Replace ink containers in an environment at 77 °F (25 °C). Replace in a location where dust, particles, and other foreign material will not collect on the ink supply holes. Do not remove an ink container from its bag until just before you use it. After opening the bag, install the ink container as quickly as possible. Do not drop an ink container or otherwise subject it to intense shock. Do not touch the ink supply holes or IC chip on an ink container. This may cause the ink container to fail to operate or print normally. Do not shake an ink container vigorously. Ink leakage or air bubbles may occur and cause printing problems. Cautions when handling ink containers CAUTION Do not forcibly open or break an ink container. The ink container may become unable to print normally. If you need to temporarily remove an ink container, put it back as soon as possible. Do not add ink to an ink container. Do not use an ink container for any purpose other than printing. Use ink containers until they reach their expiration date. 1-4
