Phone Basics - or - To save the number in your Contacts list, press OPTIONS (right softkey), highlight Save and press . Note When dialing a number with a hard pause, press TALK to send the next set of numbers. Using Abbreviated Dialing Abbreviated Dialing is similar to speed dialing. You can use either of the following abbreviated dialing features. ⅷ ContactsMatch - Retrieve any number saved in your Contacts by entering only three to six consecutive digits of the number. (See "Contacts Match"on page 53.) ⅷ Prepend - Prepend the first five or six digits (for example, the area code and prefix) to any four or five digits you enter. Press to dial the resulting number. To place a call using Contacts Match abbreviated dialing: 1. Enter the last three to six digits of a Contacts entry's phone number. (The matched numbers are shown at the bottom of the screen.) 2. Highlight the desired phone number from the list and press to call the displayed number. To place a call using Prepend abbreviated dialing: 1. Enter the last four or five digits of the number. 2.
