Configuring LPD on BSD Make sure that an IP address has been assigned to the print server and the following statements apply: • The remote host name is the name of the print server. • The remote printer name is the logical printer (L1 to L3 or L1 to L8). • You identify the service type as BSD if your UNIX system asks for the LPD type.
