11 − CD-RW management (SS-CDR200 only) Erasing tracks You can erase tracks that have been recorded in audio CD format on a CD-RW disc. The specified track and all later tracks (until the last track on the disc) will be erased. 1 Press the MENU [JOG] button (or remote control MENU button) to open the MENU screen. 2 Open the CD menu. 3 Select ERASE. 4 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER button) to open a pop-up window where you can select the Erase Track item. 5 Turn the MULTI JOG dial (or press the remote control 5 and b buttons) to select Erase Track. 6 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER button) to enable selection of the first track in the range of tracks that will be erased. NOTE • When erasing tracks on a finalized CD-RW disc, the unit will unfinalize the disc before erasing the designated tracks. • This operation can be executed only on a disc that has audio CD format files Refreshing discs You can refresh (completely erase) a CD-RW disc. The unit might not be unable to recognize a CD-RW disc in some cases, such as if finalization was interrupted by a power failure, or if a disc has been used by a computer. In such cases, follow these procedures to refresh the CD-RW disc so that the unit can recognize it. 1 Press the MENU [JOG] button (or remote control MENU button) to open the MENU screen. 2 Open the CD menu. 3 Select ERASE. 4 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER button) to open a pop-up window where you can select the Refresh item. 5 Turn the MULTI JOG dial (or press the remote control 5 and b buttons) to select Refresh. 7 Turn the MULTI JOG dial (or press the remote control 5 and b buttons) to select the first track to erase in the range of tracks that will be erased. In the example above, track 03 is selected. The last track to be deleted (shown as 03 in the illustration above) is fixed as the last track of the disc and cannot be changed. 8 After you have selected the first track, press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER button). A confirmation pop-up message appears. 9 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER button) again to start erasing tracks. -- ERASE -- and a progress bar appear in a pop-up while tracks are being erased. 6 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER button). A confirmation pop-up message appears. 7 Press the MULTI JOG dial (or remote control ENTER button) again to start refreshing the CD-RW disc. -- REFRESH --" and a progress bar appear in a pop-up while the disc is being refreshed. Erasing tracks
You can erase tracks that have been recorded in audio CD
format on a CD-RW disc. The specified track and all later
tracks (until the last track on the disc) will be erased.

Refreshing discs
