Syntax • sntp authentication-key number md5 value • no sntp authentication-key number • number - Key number (Range: 1 - 4294967295) • value - Key value (Range: up to 8 characters) Default Configuration No authentication key is defined. Command Mode Global Configuration mode. User Guidelines • Multiple keys can be generated. Examples The following example defines the authentication key for SNTP. Console(config)# sntp authentication-key 8 md5 ClkKey sntp authenticate The sntp authenticate Global Configuration mode command allows authentication for received Simple Network Time Protocol (SNTP) traffic from servers. Use the no form of this command to disable the feature. Syntax • sntp authenticate • no sntp authenticate Default Configuration No authentication Command Mode Global Configuration mode.
