Chapter 2 IE 3000 Switch Cisco IOS Commands show mac address-table notification show mac address-table notification Use the show mac address-table notification user EXEC command to display the MAC address notification settings for all interfaces or the specified interface. show mac address-table notification [interface [interface-id]] [ | {begin | exclude | include} expression] Syntax Description interface interface-id | begin | exclude | include expression (Optional) Display information for all interfaces. Valid interfaces include physical ports and port channels. (Optional) Display information for the specified interface. Valid interfaces include physical ports and port channels. (Optional) Display begins with the line that matches the expression. (Optional) Display excludes lines that match the expression. (Optional) Display includes lines that match the specified expression. Expression in the output to use as a reference point. Command Modes User EXEC Command History Release 12.2(44)EX Modification This command was introduced. Usage Guidelines Use the show mac address-table notification command without any keywords to display whether the feature is enabled or disabled, the MAC notification interval, the maximum number of entries allowed in the history table, and the history table contents. Use the interface keyword to display the flags for all interfaces. If the interface-id is included, only the flags for that interface appear. Expressions are case sensitive. For example, if you enter | exclude output, the lines that contain output do not appear, but the lines that contain Output appear. Examples OL-13019-01 This is an example of output from the show mac address-table notification command: Switch> show mac address-table notification MAC Notification Feature is Enabled on the switch Interval between Notification Traps : 60 secs Number of MAC Addresses Added : 4 Number of MAC Addresses Removed : 4 Number of Notifications sent to NMS : 3 Maximum Number of entries configured in History Table : 100 Current History Table Length : 3 MAC Notification Traps are Enabled History Table contents History Index 0, Entry Timestamp 1032254, Despatch Timestamp 1032254 MAC Changed Message : Cisco IE 3000 Switch Command Reference 2-423
