show system mtu Chapter 2 IE 3000 Switch Cisco IOS Commands show system mtu Use the show system mtu privileged EXEC command to display the global maximum transmission unit (MTU) or maximum packet size set for the switch. show system mtu [ | {begin | exclude | include} expression] Syntax Description | begin | exclude | include expression (Optional) Display begins with the line that matches the expression. (Optional) Display excludes lines that match the expression. (Optional) Display includes lines that match the specified expression. Expression in the output to use as a reference point. Usage Guidelines If you have used the system mtu or system mtu jumbo global configuration command to change the MTU setting, the new setting does not take effect until you reset the switch. The system MTU refers to ports operating at 10/100 Mb/s; the system jumbo MTU refers to Gigabit ports; the system routing MTU refers to routed ports. Expressions are case sensitive. For example, if you enter | exclude output, the lines that contain output do not appear, but the lines that contain Output appear.
