Chapter 2 IE 3000 Switch Cisco IOS Commands show storm-control This is an example of output from the show storm-control command for a specified interface. Because no traffic-type keyword was entered, the broadcast storm control settings appear. Switch> show storm-control gigabitethernet 1/1 Interface Filter State Upper Lower Gi1/1 Forwarding 20 pps 10 pps Current --------5 pps Table 2-30 describes the fields in the show storm-control display. Table 2-30 show storm-control Field Descriptions Field Interface Filter State Upper Lower Current Description Displays the ID of the interface. Displays the status of the filter: • Blocking-Storm control is enabled, and a storm has occurred. • Forwarding-Storm control is enabled, and no storms have occurred. • Inactive-Storm control is disabled. Displays the rising suppression level as a percentage of total available bandwidth in packets per second or in bits per second. Displays the falling suppression level as a percentage of total available bandwidth in packets per second or in bits per second. Displays the bandwidth usage of broadcast traffic or the specified traffic type (broadcast, multicast, or unicast) as a percentage of total available bandwidth.
