boot helper Chapter 2 IE 3000 Switch Cisco IOS Commands boot helper Use the boot helper global configuration command to dynamically load files during boot loader initialization to extend or patch the functionality of the boot loader. Use the no form of this command to return to the default. boot helper filesystem:/file-url ... no boot helper Syntax Description filesystem: /file-url Alias for a flash file system. Use flash: for the system board flash device. The path (directory) and a list of loadable files to dynamically load during loader initialization. Separate each image name with a semicolon. Defaults No helper files are loaded. Command Modes Global configuration Command History Release 12.2(44)EX Modification This command was introduced. Usage Guidelines This variable is used only for internal development and testing. Filenames and directory names are case sensitive. This command changes the setting of the HELPER environment variable. For more information, see Appendix A, "IE 3000 Switch Bootloader Commands."
