Use the no form of this command to delete the defined macro. define interface-range macro-name interface-range no define interface-range macro-name interface-range Syntax Description macro-name interface-range Name of the interface-range macro; up to 32 characters. Command Modes Global configuration Command History Release 12.2(44)EX Modification This command was introduced. Usage Guidelines The macro name is a 32-character maximum character string. A macro can contain up to five ranges. All interfaces in a range must be the same type; that is, all Fast Ethernet ports, all Gigabit Ethernet ports, all EtherChannel ports, or all VLANs, but you can combine multiple interface types in a macro. When entering the interface-range, use this format: • type {first-interface} - {last-interface} • You must add a space between the first interface number and the hyphen when entering an interface-range. For example, gigabitethernet 1/1 - 2 is a valid range; gigabitethernet 1/1-2 is not a valid range. Valid values for type and interface: • vlan vlan-id, where the VLAN ID is 1 to 4094 Note Though options exist in the command-line interface to set multiple VLAN IDs, it is not supported. VLAN interfaces must have been configured with the interface vlan command (the show running-config privileged EXEC command displays the configured VLAN interfaces).
