Enter Text by Speaking Try speaking the words to enter them in most text fields that let you use the touch input keyboard. Important: First make sure to select the language you'll be using in the Language & keyboard settings. Since your phone uses Google's speech-recognition service, you need to be connected to the Internet to enter text by speaking. 1. Touch on the keyboard. Your phone then cues you to speak. 2. Tell your phone what you want to be typed in. Set the Voice Input Language Select a language you want your phone to recognize. 1. Open the Notifications panel, and then touch > Language & keyboard > Google voice typing. 2. Touch Select input language. 3. Clear the Automatic option, and then select the language you want. Swype Keyboard Enter text by sliding on or touching the keys on the Swype® keyboard, or by speaking. Switch to the Swype Keyboard By default, your phone uses the touch input keyboard for text input.
