206 Finding and Recording Places You will find the following items on the Main Menu: • Navigate to. Lets you select a destination. • Find alternative. Calculates an alternative route if you want to avoid traffic or other nuisances. • Help me! Provides you with help options that can provide you with directions on how to get to the nearest emergency or assistance service centers and contact them by phone. • TomTom Traffic. Enables and disables reception of traffic information. (This is a subscription service). • Change preferences. Opens the Preferences menu where you can customize settings (see "Preferences" in this chapter). • Prepare route. Lets you plan journeys in advance by selecting a starting point and destination. It helps to determine how long a journey will take and the route of the journey. • Browse map. Opens the map browser to view an entire map. • Map corrections. Lets you correct an error on the map, set map correction preferences, or download corrections made by other people. • Add Favorite. Lets you add frequently visited places as favorites. • Call POI. Searches and lets you call phone numbers of the places that are categorized under points of interest. • Itinerary planning. Lets you plan a journey with more stops than just your final destination. • TomTom Services. Provides extra services that you can subscribe to, and lets you download maps and voices to your device after you have purchased them. • Clear route. Deletes the current route.
