Removing the Display Inverter Board from the CSTN (10.4 in) Display WARNING Ensure that the power cord is disconnected from the electrical outlet and that the battery pack is removed from the computer before beginning replacement procedures. Failure to disconnect power could result in serious injury or damage to the equipment. To remove the inverter board from the CSTN display, follow these steps: 1. Turn the computer off and remove all external devices, including the battery pack and the AC Adapter. Remove the diskette and PC Card, if installed (Section 5.3). 2. Open the computer. 3. Remove the display bezel. Refer to "Removing and Replacing the Display Bezel" in this section. CAUTION When servicing the computer, ensure that cables are placed in their proper location to avoid pinching during the reassembly process. Improper cable placement can cause severe damage to the unit. 4. Lift up the inverter board until it clears the three posts on the display enclosure (Figure 5-77).

Ensure that the power cord is disconnected from the electrical outlet and

To remove the inverter board from the CSTN display, follow these steps:
