CAUTION: Before you open the computer cover, turn off the computer and wait several minutes until the computer is cool. To remove the computer cover, do the following: 1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer. 2. Unlock any locking device that secures the computer cover, such as a key lock, a padlock, or a Kensington-style cable lock. See Chapter 4 "Security" on page 33. 3. Press the pit 1 on the handle of the computer cover latch so that the handle is lifted. Pivot the handle as shown and pull the handle to remove the cover from the chassis. Figure 12. To remove the direct cooling air baffle, do the following: 1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer. 2. Remove the computer cover.
