Installing Hardware Options Installing a Second Processor and Processor Power Module (PPM) To install a second processor and PPM: 1. Unlatch the heatsink retaining clips (1). 2. Unlatch the processor socket locking lever (2). IMPORTANT: The processor assembly is designed to fit one way into the socket. Carefully align the processor base with the processor socket until the processor fits securely in the socket. CAUTION: Processor 2 is oriented 180 degrees from processor 1. To prevent damage to the hardware, properly align the processor before installing. Module (PPM)
To install a second processor and PPM:
1.
Unlatch the heatsink retaining clips (1).
2.
Unlatch the processor socket locking lever (2).
IMPORTANT:
The processor assembly is designed to fit one way into the socket. Carefully
align the processor base with the processor socket until the processor fits securely in the
socket.
CAUTION:
Processor 2 is oriented 180 degrees from processor 1. To prevent
damage to the hardware, properly align the processor before installing.
