Contents Before Using Getting Started Design Center Layout & Editing Setting Up IMPORTANT: Be sure the PC is turned off before making any connection. Attaching the Security Device 1 Attach the included Security Device to the computer's printer port. The application will not work if the Security Device is not properly attached. x To make sure that the attached Printer Port is set to operate correctly, go to Windows - My Com- puter - Control Panel - System - Device Manager. If the settings are different from normal, follow the computer's operation guide to change the settings so that the Printer Port will operate correctly. x The application will automatically search for the Security Device, even if the Printer Port is expanded. x If you are connecting a printer, scanner, etc., to the Printer Port, first connect the Security Device so that it is closest to the computer, then connect the cable of the device. x Even if you connect other printers or other devices after connecting this Security Device, the device should operate with no troubles. However, if the device does not operate correctly, use an open Printer Port or remove the Security Device to use the other devices. NOTE: The devices listed below can not be used in the same Port with the Security Device. SCSI interface for printer port Printer Port connection type FDD Printer Port connection type HDD Printer Port connection type CD-ROM drive Printer Port connection type ZIP drive Printer Port communication Interlink or other network software Others, data transmission devices that do not conform to Centronix printer interface standardized specifications. IMPORTANT: When connecting the Security Device or connecting cables to the Security Device, be sure to turn off the power of the computer and the connecting device.
