Value Vendor Description Table 5-14 Ethernet Show Port Information Meaning The manufacturer data reported directly from the card. Typically, this is the vendor name and model number. Ethernet descriptions are stored in the Windows Registry under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ NetworkCards\X\Description Network Binding Name Current Source Address Permanent Address Vendor Id MAC Options Device State Logical Device Id Redir Unsolicited Requests Name of Ethernet device bound to the Ethernet Provider. This is defined in the Windows Registry as the Bind value under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MtcEthP\L inkage The name is in the form \Device\ServiceNameN, where the ServiceNameN is typically the Ethernet device name with a number appended. Ethernet device service names are stored in the Windows Registry under: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ NetworkCards\X\ServiceName Where X is a number from 1 to the number of NICs installed in the system. The address the NIC is currently using. This address is obtained from NdisRequest query OID_802_3_CURRENT_ADDRESS. The MAC address embedded in the adapter hardware. This address is obtained from NdisRequest query OID_802_3_PERMANENT_ADDRESS. The three-byte IEEE-registered vendor code followed by a single byte that the vendor assigns to identify a particular NIC. The IEEE code uniquely identifies the vendor and is the same as the three bytes appearing at the beginning of the NIC hardware address. This value is obtained from NdisRequest query OID_GEN_VENDOR_ID. A bitmask that defines optional properties of the underlying driver or its NIC. This value is obtained from NdisRequest query OID_GEN_MAC_OPTIONS. A bitmask containing Endurance internal state information that is reserved for use by customer support.
