IOPn.Monitor Enable Auto Start, IOPn.Monitor Set Initialization Interval

Page 154 highlights

IOPn.Monitor Enable Auto Start Warning: Changing the setting of Auto Start from its default (disabled) on any IOP invalidates data protection features of the Endurance server. This command enables Auto Start for an IOP. When an IOP reboots, Auto Start allows the specified IOP to automatically join the Endurance server configuration (after the time specified by the initialization interval has elapsed), regardless of whether the other IOP is available. Auto Start is also affected by the IOPn.Monitor Set Initialization Interval command. By default, Auto Start is disabled. Command IOPn.Monitor Enable Auto Start -disable_safeguard Console Syntax MTCCONS IOPn.Monitor Enable Auto Start -disable_safeguard Variables n - the ID number of the IOP (1 or 2) See Also IOPn.Monitor Disable Auto Start IOPn.Monitor Set Initialization Interval IOPn.Monitor Show Auto Start IOPn.Monitor Set Initialization Interval This command configures the interval that an IOP waits to initialize with another IOP before responding to the CEs. The initialization interval is only valid if Auto Start is enabled. (Refer to the IOPn.Monitor Enable Auto Start command for information.) When the initialization interval expires: • If Auto Start is true (enabled), the specified IOP does not wait for the other IOP, and it continues processing Endurance software. • If Auto Start is false (disabled) and the other IOP is not faulted or disabled, the specified IOP waits indefinitely to initialize with the other IOP. By default, Auto Start is disabled, and the initialization interval is 120 seconds. Command IOPn.Monitor Set Initialization Interval x Console Syntax MTCCONS IOPn.Monitor Set Initialization Interval x Variables x - an integer that indicates the number of seconds to which the initialization interval will be set. 5-66 HP Netserver AA Solution Administrator's Guide

.Monitor Set Initialization Interval
This command configures the interval that an IOP waits to initialize with another IOP before
responding to the CEs. The initialization interval is only valid if Auto Start is enabled. (Refer to
the
IOPn.Monitor Enable Auto Start
command for information.)
When the initialization interval expires:

continues processing Endurance software.
