Step 6 7 Action Notes Make sure that any components affected by this procedure are active or online. Reenable any faulted or disabled components (page 9-31). Confirm that the new Ethernet cable operates properly: • Establish a network connection to validate that the connection is operating properly. • Issue an Endurance Manager Disable IOPy.Ethernet command. • Issue an Endurance Manager Enable IOPy.Ethernet command for the Ethernet connection disabled in the previous step. • Using the Endurance Manager main window, confirm that the Ethernet connection that uses the replacement cable is active and primary. • Verify continued client connectivity. Use Endurance Manager for this step. Use Endurance Manager for these steps. For example, use Windows Explorer to connect to a network node. Copy some files to and from the server during the following steps. This disables the Ethernet connection that maintained network connectivity while you completed the previous steps. It appears bright green. If the Ethernet connection supported by the replacement cable remains active and primary, the cable that you replaced is fully operational.
