About this task You can increase the following storage-related parameters if IBM Software Support personnel instructs you to do so: v Web Services SOAP Server v startup console messages v communications trace v storage detail logging and associated intervals v minimum extended storage v primary and extended maximum storage request size v language locale v persistent datastore parameters Use the following steps to increase the storage-related parameters: 1. From the Configure the Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server main menu, select the Specify configuration values option. 2. On the next panel, press F5=Advanced to open the Specify Advanced Configuration Values panel. The next panel includes the following options: v Enable OMEGAMON SOAP Server (applicable to a Hub Tivoli Enterprise Monitoring Server only) v Enable startup console messages v Enable communications trace v Enable storage detail logging and associated intervals v Specify the Virtual IP Address (VIPA) type v Specify the minimum extended storage v Specify the primary and extended maximum storage request size v Specify the language locale for globalization v Specify the persistent datastore parameters 3.
