Web Management User Guide • Broadcast - SNTP operates in the same manner as multicast mode but uses a local broadcast address instead of a multicast address. The broadcast address has a single subnet scope while a multicast address has Internet wide scope. Default value is Disable. 2. Use Port to specify the local UDP port to listen for responses/broadcasts. Allowed range is 1 to 65535. Default value is 123. 3. Use Unicast Poll Interval to specify the number of seconds between unicast poll requests expressed as a power of two when configured in unicast mode. Allowed range is (6 to 10). Use Unicast Poll Timeout to specify the number of seconds to wait for an SNTP response when configured in unicast mode. Allowed range is (1 to 30). Default value is 5. 6. Use Unicast Poll Retry to specify the number of times to retry a request to an SNTP server after the first time-out before attempting to use the next configured server when configured in unicast mode. Allowed range is (0 to 10). Default value is 1. 7. When using SNTP/NTP time servers to update the switch's clock, the time data received from the server is based on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) which is the same as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). This may not be the time zone in which the switch is located. Use Time Zone Name to configure a timezone specifying the number of hours and optionally the number of minutes difference from UTC with Offset Hours and Offset Minutes. The time zone can affect the display of the current system time. The default value is UTC. 8. Use Offset Hours to specify the number of hours difference from UTC. See Time Zone Name (step 7 previous) for more information. Allowed range is (-24 to 24).The default value is 0. 9. Use Offset Minutes to specify the number of Minutes difference from UTC.
