Troubleshooting Troubleshooting When a problem occurs, first check the following. If the problem persists, contact your dealer or service representative. Symptom Cannot send document. Checkpoint Is the modular cord connected correctly? Is Send error displayed? Corrective Action Connect the modular cord correctly. Remedy the cause of error and send again. Cannot perform broadcast transmission. Cannot perform encrypted communication. Cannot use the remote switching function. No print output after reception. Cannot receive document. Cannot receive 2 in 1 reception. Is TX (transmission) restriction activated? Cancel the TX restriction. Is free space available in the memory? Send after the memory has free space, or create free space in the memory. Are the registrations correct Double-check the both at sender and recipient? registrations both at sender and recipient. Is a pulse line used? Some phones may transmit tone signals using buttons. Refer to the operation manual of your phone set. Is the remote switching number correct? Check the registration. (Default: 55) Did you press the remote switching number too quickly? Press the remote switching number twice slowly. Is memory forwarding activated? Check the forwarding destination. Is the modular cord connected correctly? Connect the modular cord correctly. Is Communication error displayed? Remedy the cause of error and ask the sender to retry. Is RX (reception) restriction activated? Cancel the RX restriction. Are 2 in 1 reception and duplex reception both set? Cancel the duplex printing.
