05 Use Other Equipment With Your Flat Panel TV If there is no sound, specify another audio signal type. Depending on the type of equipment, sound output may require analog audio cables in addition to the HDMI connection(s). Note: When signals come through the HDMI terminals, no signals are output from the DIGITAL OUT terminal if they are copy guarded. 5.3 Control Equipment with the Panel's Remote Through HDMI Your flat panel TV's remote can control other equipment such as a recorder, player, or AV system through the HDMI Control functions. The HDMI Control functions include playback of content using an on-screen control panel. However, not all device operations may be available through HDMI control. For details, see the charts below. Except for Power Off and Display Language Setup functions, only a single HDMI terminal may be active at a time. The flat panel TV's remote can control a maximum of two (2) recorders, two (2) playback devices, and one (1) AV system at a time.
