MY BOOK WORLD EDITION USER MANUAL Volumes and RAID Management The Volumes and RAID Management button on the Storage tab home page provides one tab, Volume Status, for the My Book World Edition and two tabs, Manage Volume and Manage RAID, for the My Book World Edition II. Manage Volume (My Book World Edition) The Volume Status page lists all the volumes available on the device and provides detailed information about each volume such as volume name, volume type, disk or disks associated with the volume, usage, total size, and volume status. Volume status messages include the following: • Good-Indicates the volume is accessible and hard drive is functioning normally. • Failed-Indicates a volume cannot be started automatically, the disk may be damaged or the file system may be corrupt. • Formatting-Indicates volume is being formatted or system is creating an ext3 (third extended) file system for a Linux operating system.
