Processor Settings Screen Option Description 64-bit Specifies if the processor(s) support 64-bit extensions. Core Speed Displays the processor clock speed. Bus Speed Displays the processor bus speed. Hyper Transport Displays the HyperTransport link speed, and depending Technology (HT3 default) upon the system, this field may be read-only. HT3 capable systems ship with HT3 by default. HT Assist (Enabled default) Enables or disables the HT Assist. CPU Virtualization Technology (Enabled default) Enabled permits virtualization software to use the virtualization technology incorporated in the processor. NOTE: Disable this feature if your system does not run virtualization software. DRAM Prefetcher (Enabled default) Enables or disables the DRAM prefetcher. Hardware Prefetch Training on Software Prefetch Enables or disables the Hardware prefetcher training on software prefetcher. Hardware Prefetcher (Enabled default) Enables or disables the hardware prefetcher. Execute Disable (Enabled default) Enables or disables Execute Disable Memory Protection Technology. Number of Cores per Processor (All default) Controls the number of enabled cores in each processor. C1E (Disabled default) When set to Enabled, the processor(s) can switch to a minimum performance state when idle. Processor X FamilyModel-Stepping Displays the family and model number of each processor.
