reset snapshot Description Deletes the data in a standard snapshot and resets it to the current data in the associated master volume. The snapshot's volume characteristics are not changed. The command prompts you to unmount/unpresent/unmap the snapshot from hosts before performing the reset; leaving it mounted can cause data corruption. This command is not allowed for a replication snapshot. CAUTION: All data represented by the snapshot as it exists prior to issuing this command is lost. Syntax reset snapshot [prompt yes|no] volume Parameters prompt yes|no Optional. Specifies an automatic response to the prompt to unmount/unpresent/unmap the snapshot before proceeding: • yes: Allow the command to proceed. • no: Cancel the command. If this parameter is omitted, you must reply to the prompt. volume The name or serial number of the snapshot to reset. For volume syntax, see "Command syntax" (page 20). Example Reset snapshot SS1: # reset snapshot SS1 You MUST unmount the snapshot from all hosts before resetting it. Are you ready to continue?
