Test Specific String is additional information that is used to analyze the problem. Starting the diagnostic programs The IBM Enhanced Diagnostics programs will isolate your computer hardware from software that you have installed on your hard disk drive. The programs run independently of the operating system, and must be run either from a CD or diskette. This method of testing is generally used when other methods are not accessible or have not been successful in isolating a problem suspected to be hardware related. A Device Drivers and IBM Enhanced Diagnostics CD comes with your computer. You can also download the latest image of the diagnostics from http://www.ibm.com/pc/support on the World Wide Web. 80 IBM® IntelliStation® E Pro: User's Guide IntelliStation E Pro Types 6836, 6846
