CHAPTER 17 Troubleshooting Fixing sound problems To fix sound problems, try these steps. As you make adjustments, use the Dragon NaturallySpeaking® Audio Setup Wizard to test sound quality automatically. s Make sure the microphone is positioned properly (see "Audio Setup" on page 16). s Check that the microphone is plugged into the mic jack on your sound card. s Disconnect your speakers from the computer, in case they're interfering with the microphone signal. s Be sure the microphone cable isn't entwined with power cables or other wiring that could cause interference. s Update your sound card driver to the latest version available. Fixing sound problems
