Chapter 18 Wireless LAN Table 54 Wireless > Security LABEL DESCRIPTION Network Key 1 to Key 4 These fields are required when you use WEP encryption. If you set the Encryption Strength field to 64-bit, enter any 5 characters (ASCII string) or 10 hexadecimal characters ("0-9", "A-F") preceded by 0x for each key. If you set the Encryption Strength field to 128-bit, enter 13 characters (ASCII string) or 26 hexadecimal characters ("0-9", "A-F") preceded by 0x for each key. Save/Apply There are four data encryption keys to secure your data from eavesdropping by unauthorized wireless users. Both the ZyXEL Device and the wireless stations must use the same WEP key for data transmission. Click this button to save the changes and have the ZyXEL Device start using them. 18.6 The MAC Filter Screen This screen allows you to configure the ZyXEL Device to give exclusive access to specific devices (Allow) or exclude specific devices from accessing the ZyXEL Device (Deny). Every Ethernet device has a unique MAC (Media Access Control) address. The MAC address is assigned at the factory and consists of six pairs of hexadecimal characters, for example, 00:A0:C5:00:00:02. You need to know the MAC addresses of the devices to configure this screen. Use this screen to change your ZyXEL Device's MAC filter settings.Click Wireless > MAC Filter.
