Installation dialog box options for Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP, and Microsoft Windows 2003 The following section shows the dialog box options that appear during the HP Color LaserJet 2700 printing-system software installation on Microsoft Windows 2000, Microsoft Windows XP, and Microsoft Windows Server 2003 operating systems. NOTE HP recommends installing the software before connecting the HP Color LaserJet 2700 printer to the computer (software-first installation). These instructions are for a software-first installation. A computer running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 will automatically go through the steps for a Minimum installation of the HP Color LaserJet 2700 printing-system software. The installation sequence starts at Step 10. Use these instructions the first time the HP Color LaserJet 2700 printing-system software is installed. Start the installation after closing out of all other programs. Insert the printing-system software CD into the CD-ROM drive. NOTE If the CD does not start automatically, click Start, click Run, and then browse to and double-click the SETUP.EXE file in the root directory of the CD. The Thank you for purchasing from HP! opening screen appears. Select Install to start the installation of the printing-system software.
