INTRODUCTION Purpose of this document This document provides specific installation instructions and other information you should know before you install and use the printing system. Installation instructions are provided in this document for the following operating systems: ● Microsoft Windows 2000 ● Microsoft Windows 2000 (64-bit available on the Web, installation via Plug and Play or Add Printer) ● Microsoft Windows XP (32-bit) ● Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit available on the Web, installation via Plug and Play or Add Printer) ● Microsoft Windows Server 2003 (available on the Web, installation via Plug and Play or Add Printer) ● Macintosh OS X v10.2.x, 10.3.x and 10.4.x NOTE The HP Color LaserJet 2700 series printer is not supported by HP in the following Microsoft Windows operating systems: - Windows 98 Second Edition and Me - Windows NT 4.0 - Windows 95 - Windows 3.1x - Windows NT 3.51 For information and printer drivers for Linux, see the following Web site: www.hp.com/go/linux For information and printer drivers for UNIX (R), see the following Web site: www.hp.com/go/ jetdirectunix_software For instructions to install OS/2 printer drivers, Macintosh OS components, or other systems, see the associated installation notes, readme files, or other product information for that particular system.
