Engineering Details Uninstall This section provides information about the following topics: ● Uninstall methods ● Uninstall component list ● Uninstall instructions for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP Uninstall methods The following three methods exist for uninstalling the HP Color LaserJet 2700 printing-system software from the computer: ● Program group. Click Uninstall from the HP Color LaserJet 2700 program group from Programs menu on the computer. This is the preferred uninstall method. ● Add/Remove programs. Click Add/Remove Programs from the Microsoft Windows Control Panel, and then click the HP Color LaserJet 2700 software components to be removed. ● HP Color LaserJet 2700 printing-system CD. Reinsert the HP Color LaserJet 2700 printing- system CD into the CD-ROM drive on the computer and click Uninstall. Uninstall component list The HP Color LaserJet 2700 uninstaller removes the following components from the computer: ● Drivers ● HP ToolboxFX ● User guides The HP Color LaserJet 2700 uninstaller does not remove the following components from the computer: ● HP Extended Capabilities ● HP Software Update Remove these components with Microsoft Windows Add/Remove Programs feature. A warning screen appears if the components to be removed are needed for other HP products that are running on the computer. Uninstall instructions for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP NOTE To uninstall the software from Microsoft Windows 2000 and Microsoft Windows XP , log on with Administrator privileges. 1. Quit all open programs. 2. Click Start, click Programs (or All Programs in Microsoft Windows XP), select HP, select HP Color LaserJet 2700, and then click Uninstall. ENWW Uninstall 227
