11 TONE SQUELCH AND POCKET BEEP ■ Digital call sign/digital code squelch The optional UT-123 NOTE: Use digital code squelch when operating with two or more stations. Because the digital call sign squelch function recognizes "MY CALL SIGN," the digital call sign squelch function can be used when operating with only one station. q Set the desired operating frequency in DV mode, Digital code and MY CALL SIGN. w Push [TONE•DTMF] several times to activate the digital code or digital call sign squelch. (DSQL or CSQL) • Digital call sign squelch "DSQL," Digital call sign beep "DSQL ," Digital code squelch "CSQL," Digital code beep "CSQL " and no tone operation are activated in order. e Operate the transceiver in the normal way. r When the received signal includes a matching call sign/code, the squelch opens and the signal can be heard. • When the received signal's call sign/code does not match, digital call sign/digital code squelch does not open; however, the S/RF indicator shows signal strength.
