7 CALL CHANNEL OPERATION ■ Programming a call channel Operating frequency, duplex information, subaudible tone information (tone encoder or tone squelch ON/OFF and its frequency) can be programmed into the call channel. rPush the same band's [M/CALL•MW] for 1 sec. to program. • 3 beeps sound and the unit returns to VFO mode automatically. q Set the desired frequency in VFO mode. ➥ Push the desired band's [V/MHz•SCAN] to select VFO mode. ➥ Set the frequency using the same band's [DIAL]. ➥ Set other data as desired. w Push and hold the same band's [M/CALL•MW] for 1 sec. eRotate the same band's [DIAL] to select the desired call channel. • "X" indicator and "C0" or "C1" blink. z Push and hold [MR/CALL] for 1 sec. to select MR/CALL call channel mode. ➥ Push [Y] or [Z] to select desired call chan- nel. MW x Push [VFO/LOCK] to select VFO mode. ➥ Set the frequency. Y/Z c Push [FUNC] then [CLR A(MW)] for 1 sec. to program. • 3 beeps sound. [EXAMPLE]: Programming 145.120 MHz into the call channel 1 via the microphone. Push and hold MR/ CALL for 1 sec. to select call channel mode. Push to select the call channel "C1". Push VFO/ LOCK to select VFO mode. Set the frequency. Push , then push " " Beep " Beep " Beep " ➠ for 1 sec. 73
