ProSafe 20-AP Wireless Controller WC7520 Reference Manual Importing a MAC List from a File You can import a pre-compiled list of approved MAC address from a saved file. This file must be a simple text file with one MAC address per line. To import a MAC list from a file: 1. Create a text file that includes a list of approved MAC addresses. Each MAC address should be on a separate line with hard returns between lines as shown in the following example: 00:00:11:11:22:29 00:00:11:11:22:28 00:00:11:11:22:27 00:00:11:11:22:26 00:00:11:11:22:25 2. Select Configuration > Security > Basic > MAC ACL to go to the MAC Authentication screen. 3. Click Browse and select the file containing the list of approved MAC addresses. 4. If you want to add approved MAC addresses without removing those that are already shown in this screen, select Merge in the Import MAC list from a file field. 5. Click Import. 6. Click Apply so that your changes take effect. Configuring MAC Authentication Settings for Groups This lets you block network access privilege of the specified stations through a specific group of managed wireless access points. Note: Many networks do not require access point groups. See Managing Access Point Groups in Chapter 6 for more information about access point groups. Importing a MAC List from a File
You can import a pre-compiled list of approved MAC address from a saved file. This file must
be a simple text file with one MAC address per line.
To import a MAC list from a file:
1.
Create a text file that includes a list of approved MAC addresses. Each MAC address
should be on a separate line with hard returns between lines as shown in the following
example:
00:00:11:11:22:29
00:00:11:11:22:28
00:00:11:11:22:27
00:00:11:11:22:26
00:00:11:11:22:25
2.
Select
Configuration > Security > Basic > MAC ACL
to go to the MAC Authentication
screen.
3.
Click
Browse
and select the file containing the list of approved MAC addresses.
4.
If you want to add approved MAC addresses without removing those that are already shown
in this screen, select
Merge
in the
Import MAC list from a file
field.
5.
Click
Import
.
6.
Click
Apply
so that your changes take effect.
