Actiontec Wireless Broadband Router User Manual MAC Cloning A MAC (Media Access Control) address is a unique hexadecimal code that identifies a device on a network. All networkable devices have a MAC address. When replacing another network device with the Router, the installation process can be simplified by copying the MAC address of the existing computer to the Router. To do this: 1. Click MAC Cloning in the Advanced screen. The "MAC Cloning" screen appears. 2. Enter the MAC address to be cloned in the "To Physical Address" text boxes. 3. Click Clone My MAC Address. The Router will now have the new MAC address. 112
