Actiontec Wireless Broadband Router User Manual Configure Wireless Access Point Click Advanced at the bottom-right of the Wireless Setup screen to generate the "Configure Wireless Access Point" screen. The top half of the screen is shown in the figure, below: General This section displays general communication parameters of the Router's wireless connection. Actiontec recommends not changing the default values in this section unless the user is familiar with these networking concepts. Status Displays the status of the wireless connection. When should this rule occur? Displays the time during which the rule is active. To configure schedule rules, see chapter 9, "Advanced Settings." Network Select the type of connection being configured from this drop-down list (options: LAN, WAN, or DMZ). LAN stands for local area network, which is another name for the home or office network. WAN stands for wide area network, and, in this case, describes the Internet. Connection Type Displays the type of connection. 30
