ASUS GUI RAID Manager: Array Management 4.12 Creating and Deleting Partitions Depending on your specific needs, you can either partition a logical volume into smaller sizes or just leave it at its default size (that is, one large partition covering the entire volume). If you intend to map the entire logical volume to a single host LUN, then partitioning becomes irrelevant; however, if the volume is to be mapped to multiple host LUNs, then you need to define partitions for later mapping to specific LUNs. NOTE: You can create a maximum of eight partitions per logical volume. 4 Creating partitions for a logical volume 1. Display the Volume window by clicking on the Logical Volume command button or selecting the Logical Volume command from the Open menu. 2.
