CHAPTER III INSTALLATION 1. CONDITIONS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION Any Laser beam printer is likely to be influenced by the environment of the set-up location. 3. INSTALLATION WORK Install the unit parts of the starter kit into the printer according to the following procedures: 3.1 Install the OPC Belt Cartridge PRECAUTION • Do not directly touch the OPC belt surface with bare hands or gloves. • If the belt is exposed for more than two minutes to a light - Brother International HL-2400C | Service Manual - Page 43

4 First Transfer (Drum) The first transfer process means that the toner image on the OPC belt is transferred onto the transfer drum. 6 Belt Cleaning The belt cleaning process means that the residual toner adhering to the OPC belt surface is mechanically scavenged. (1) Structure of Belt Cleaning The blade for the belt cleaning is located relative to the OPC belt cartridge as shown in Fig.4-8. Paper Discharging The paper discharging process is where the transported paper onto which the toner transfer has been completed is separated from the transfer drum by applying an AC charge fusing (fixing) process.
