11. Clean the rod in the middle of the cleaning-roll path with the putty knife. Optionally, you can finish off the cleaning process with a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water. 12. Put back the printhead cleaning material to its normal operating condition, being careful to realign it properly (not tilted, without wrinkles). Manually rewind both rolls a little if needed to ensure proper material alignment, but without tightening the material. 13. Close the pinch mechanism by pushing in the black knob. TIP: To facilitate proper engagement of this mechanism, as already mentioned do not wind the rolls enough to tighten the cleaning material until after the pinch mechanism has been engaged. 14.
