7002-xxx Flash Test This test verifies the functioning of the flash device by writing and reading data on the flash to test the flash. Warning: This test destroys all data on the flash because the flash is unformatted at the end of the test. To reformat the flash, the servicer or the user must use FORMAT FLASH from the UTILITIES MENU. To run the Flash Test: 1. Touch to select Flash Test from DEVICE TESTS. The message Contents will be lost. Continue? displays to warn the user that all contents on the flash device will be lost. 2. To exit the test immediately and return to the Device Tests menu, touch No. To continue, touch Yes. The power indicator blinks while the test is running, and the message Flash Test Testing... displays. Once the test is complete, the power indicator turns on solid, and either the message Flash Test Test Passed or Flash Test Test Failed displays. 3. Touch Back or press Stop ( ) to return to DEVICE TESTS. Touch the up or down arrows to display these additional menus. Note: If you make changes, touch Submit to make the change effective. Defaults US/Non-US defaults changes whether the printer uses the US factory defaults or the non-US factory defaults. The settings affected include paper size, envelope size, PCL symbol set, code pages, and units of measure. Warning: Changing this setting resets the printer to factory defaults, and data may be lost.
