7002-xxx Flatbed interconnect card removal Warning: When replacing any one of the following components: • Flatbed Interconnect card (ICC) • System board assembly • Interface card assembly Only replace one component at a time. Replace the required component and perform a POR before replacing a second component listed above. If this procedure is not followed, the printer will be rendered inoperable. Never replace two or more of the components listed above without a POR after installing each one, or the printer will be rendered inoperable. Warning: Never install and remove components listed above as a method of troubleshooting components. Once a component has been installed in a printer, it cannot be used in another printer. It must be returned to the manufacturer. Warning: Observe all ESD precautions while handling ESD-sensitive parts. See "Handling ESD-sensitive parts" on page 4-1. Illustrations represent models X644e/X646e. Unless there is an indication, the procedure is the same. Differences are shown side by side. 1. Remove the scan cover (flatbed). See "Scan cover (flatbed) removal" on page 4-11. 2. Remove the flatbed contact glass. See "Flatbed contact glass removal" on page 4-31. 3. Remove the scanner right side cover. See "Lift the scan cover (flatbed). Scanner right side cover removal" on page 4-12. 4. Remove the scanner left side cover. See "Scanner left side cover removal" on page 4-10. 5. Remove the three screws (A) that attach the hinge support bracket to the rear scan bracket. A 6. Remove the two screws (B) from the top. 7.
