Important!: When using Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot, charges apply when roaming. Check your calling plan for applicable charges in the location where you plan to use service. 4. Touch Continue to acknowledge the Roaming message. 5. Touch Automatic (An SSID and key are created for your Hotspot) or Manual (allows customized settings). 6. Touch Network Settings then touch one of the following: • Configure: Select Automatic or Manual configuration. Automatic creates an SSID and Key for your Hotspot. Manual allows the customization of settings. • Manage Devices: touch View Connected Devices to display a list of connected devices, or Manage Allowed Devices to configure which device automatically connect, or Add a device. • Battery Management: to select a time interval to shut off Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot if there is no activity. Selections are: Never Turn-Off, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes, or 60 minutes. Your phone establishes a connection to the network for the Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot service. 7. Touch Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot to turn the service off when you are finished using Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. Connecting a Device via Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot Use the other device's Wi-Fi control to connect to your phone's Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot. Tip: In order for other devices to connect to your Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot, you can set your device to allow all devices to connect, or add the device. 1. Activate Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot on your phone. For more information, refer to "Turning On Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot" on page 91. 2. Locate SCH-R930 in the Wi-Fi network list. 3. Enter as the password to connect to this device. 4. On the other device, scan for Wi-Fi hotspots, and select your phone from the list. Tip: Tip: Your phone's default Name (SSID) and Password are displayed on the screen. (For more information about Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot settings, see "Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot" on page 113.) 5. At the prompt on the other device, enter your phone's Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot password. 92
