Chapter 9 Fault Click Fault > Ping and TraceRoute Test and click the Ping tab to display the screen. Figure 79 Fault > Ping and Trace Route Test > Ping The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 54 Fault > Ping and Trace Route Test > Ping LABEL DESCRIPTION Device Name This field displays the name and IP address of each device. Target IP Address Enter the IP address of the device to which you want to test the connection from the selected device. Continual test Select this option to perform ping tests continuously until you click Stop. Count Select this option and enter the number of ping tests (1-15) to perform. Delay Enter the number of seconds the device is to wait between ping tests. Time out (sec) Specify the time (1-60 seconds) the device is to wait for a reply from the remote device before declaring this a failed ping test. Size Specify the size of the ping packet (0-1472 bytes) to send. Start Click Start to begin the ping connection test. Stop Click Stop to end the ping connection test if you select the Continual test option. Clear Click Clear to reset the fields in this part of the screen. No. This field displays the index number. IP Address This field displays the destination IP address for this ping test. bytes This field displays the number of bytes sent for this ping test. ms This field displays the round trip time in milliseconds (ms).
