Chapter 15 Multicast Configuration Table 101 Multicast Configuration > Multicast (continued) LABEL DESCRIPTION IGMP Querier Mode The switch treats an IGMP query port as being connected to an IGMP multicast router (or server). The switch forwards IGMP join or leave packets to an IGMP query port. Select Auto to have the switch use the port as an IGMP query port if the port receives IGMP query packets. Select Fixed to have the switch always use the port as an IGMP query port. Select this when you connect an IGMP multicast server to the port. Apply Copy to... Close Select Edge to stop the switch from using the port as an IGMP query port. The switch will not keep any record of an IGMP router being connected to this port. The switch does not forward IGMP join or leave packets to this port. Click Apply to save the changes. Click the Copy to.. button to copy the configuration from the device that you are currently configuring to the port(s) on the same device or the port(s) on other device(s) of the same model. Click Close to exit this screen. 15.3.1 Displaying IGMP Filter Profile You can create IGMP filter profile templates in the Template > IGMP Filter Profile Template screen (refer to Section 6.2 on page 81) and apply IGMP filter profiles in the Multicast screen.
