Select Discard Source to drop frame from the source MAC address (specified in the MAC field). The switch can still send frames to the MAC address. Select Discard Destination to drop frames intended for the destination MAC address (specified in the MAC field). The switch can still receive frames originating from the MAC address. MAC VID OK Close Select Discard Source and Discard Destination to block traffic to/from the MAC address specified in the MAC field. Type a MAC address in valid MAC address format, that is, six hexadecimal character pairs. Type the VLAN group identification number. Click OK to save the changes and close this screen. Click Close to exit this screen. All unsaved settings will be lost. 20.2 802.1x IEEE 802.1x is an extended authentication protocol1 that allows support of RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial In User Service, RFC 2138, 2139) for centralized user profile management on a network RADIUS server. Use the 802.1x screen to configure reauthentication for selected ports. 1. Not all Windows operating systems support IEEE 802.1x (see the Microsoft web site for details).
