Chapter 19 EPON Profile Configuration The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 131 EPON Profile Configuration > Add ONU Profile > Set UNI Port LABEL DESCRIPTION Power Down Select this option to disable the connection to the ONU. Auto- Select this option to establish the connection to the ONU using auto- negotiation negotiation for the link speed and duplex mode. Flow Control IEEE 802.3x flow control is used in full duplex mode to send a pause signal to the sending port, causing it to temporarily stop sending signals when the receiving port memory buffers fill. Speed/ Duplex OK Cancel Select this option to enable flow control for the connection to the ONU. Select the link speed (in Mbps) and duplex mode for the connection to the ONU. Click OK to save the settings and close this screen. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close this screen. 19.1.2.3 Configuring UNI Port-based VLAN Select an entry under UNI Port-based VLAN and click the Set... button in the Add ONU Profile screen to display the following screen. Table 132 EPON Profile Configuration > Add ONU Profile > Set UNI Port-based VLAN LABEL DESCRIPTION PVID Enter the port's VLAN ID (between 1 and 4094). A VLAN tag reflecting the PVID is inserted in the frame forwarded through the port. Note: The ports must be in the same VLAN group to communicate with each other.
